Missions

Outreaches that bring inspiration, encouragement and practical support into communities.

Missions are our outreaches into communities. They are how we show up, listen, and bring inspiration, encouragement and practical support to young people and families.

Each mission is planned with local leaders and schools, so it responds to an invitation from the community rather than arriving on our own terms.

What a mission includes

Talks, mentoring and inspiration sessions with young people.

Practical support identified with the community before we arrive.

Follow-up so a visit becomes a relationship rather than an event.

Working with communities

Local leaders and schools help decide the focus, timing and format of every mission.

Volunteers are briefed on safeguarding and community expectations before they travel.

We report back to the community on what was agreed and what happens next.

Outcomes

What we work towards

Success for this programme is change that lasts, not activity that looks good in a report.

Young people who hear a message of possibility from people who look like them
Communities with a continuing relationship, not a one-off visit
Volunteers who understand the community they serve
