A non-profit based in Accra, Ghana, inspiring, equipping and guiding young people in underserved families and communities.
Who we are
Treasures in Mud Global is a non-profit based in Accra, Ghana. We work with young people in underserved families and communities, offering capacity building, education, coaching, mentorship and inspiration alongside physical development projects.
Our name is our belief: potential is not missing in the communities we serve. It is buried under circumstance. Our work is to help young people uncover it.
Based in Accra, Ghana. Exact community lists within each region are being confirmed with our local partners.
See where we workOur approach
We start with relationships, not programmes. Local mentors and facilitators work alongside young people over time, rather than visiting once.
We combine personal development with practical support: coaching and mentorship, capacity building, educational support, missions and community development projects.
We work through partnerships with schools, families and community leaders so that progress continues after a programme ends.
Mission, vision and mandate
To inspire, equip and guide young people in deprived families and communities through capacity building, missions, educational support, coaching and mentorship.
A society where every young person, regardless of background, is empowered to unlock their potential and contribute to community development.
Inspire, empower and guide young people; undertake physical development projects in their communities.
Our values
We hold up possibility and hope, and show young people what their future can hold.
We build skills, confidence and agency so young people can make their own decisions.
Every young person matters, whatever their background, ability or circumstance.
We do what we say, account for every cedi, and are honest with the people we serve.
We measure success by what changes in communities, not by what we deliver.
We stay with young people and communities through difficulty, not only in the easy seasons.
We work with schools, families, local leaders and partners rather than around them.
We listen, reflect and improve our programmes using evidence and feedback.
We respond to people with dignity, patience and care, without pity.
We build local capacity so progress outlasts any single project or funding cycle.
Theory of change
Young people meet consistent mentors and gain practical skills, confidence and information.
They set goals, return to or stay in education, and make informed choices about work and life.
They model a different future for siblings, peers and younger children in their communities.
Families, schools and local leaders see what is possible, and the cycle of deprivation starts to break.
