Physical projects that make communities better places for young people to grow up.

Our mandate includes physical development projects. We undertake these with communities, not for them, because lasting infrastructure depends on local ownership.
Projects are chosen with community leadership, built with local labour and materials wherever possible, and maintained by the community afterwards.
Small-scale physical projects that support education and community life, identified with local leaders.
Works carried out with local tradespeople and materials, so the money stays in the community.
Maintenance agreements agreed before work begins.
Community leaders and schools propose priorities.
We assess feasibility, cost and long-term maintenance with the community.
Progress and spending are reported to the community and to donors.
